The major objectives of FRC are:

• To provide a forum for sharing information, experiences, and knowledge through networking, seminars, meetings, dialogue, and publications.
• To identify, facilitate, coordinate and conduct training programs for development of technical, managerial, and professional, skills of the staff of NGOs and CBOs.
• To develop, maintain, update, and disseminate databases on NGOs, CBOs, training institutions, resource persons, and national and international donors involved in the development field.
• To promote creation of an enabling environment for NGOs and CBOs by conducting and commissioning various types of research studies.
• To be a learning organization ready to adapt and change in order to effectively serve the needs of CBOs and NGOs.
